History
Kevin Main Jewelry had humble beginnings; opening in 1973 as a small, one man silver shop in the quaint beachside community of Morro Bay, California. Here, Kevin sharpened his skills as a designer, craftsman, and businessman while acquiring a reputation as such within San Luis Obispo County. In November of 1998, Kevin and his wife Kathi decided to move and expand their business into San Luis Obispo, now deemed the “Happiest Place in America” in the new National Geographic book Thrive: Finding Happiness the Blue Zones Way by Dan Buettner. Today, Kevin Main Jewelry, with its pristine original hard wood floors and its rustic brick walls, is thriving right in the heart of Downtown San Luis Obispo. Kevin Main Jewelry not only offers a great selection of Kevin Main original designs by the owner himself as well as various internationally recognized designers, but also features a full scale repair and custom shop on site.
Meet Kevin Main
Kevin Main is a self taught jeweler and craftsman; having a great passion and pride in his craft for over 33 years. His commitment to an honest, quality product and service has driven him to become the businessman he is today. Kevin is always seeking ways to make things better, more beautiful, and to invoke a memorable experience in everything he does. When Kevin is not working at his jeweler’s bench, he is most commonly found cycling. His love for ultra-distance cycling has taken him many places throughout the United States and internationally. He also loves to go for walks with his wife, Kathi and enjoys playing with his adorable grandkids when they come to visit.
